I am somewhat satisfied with the Kids Boys Toddler Striped Latin Dance Pants Elastic Waist Modern Salsa Tango Cha Cha Ballroom Trousers Dancewear.These pants do not adjust. You buy the perfect size, or they won’t fit. I always buy pants for my grandsons that have adjusters in the waistband – the elastic strap with buttons on either side, so you can make the pants tighter or looser to fit your child. Three of my grandsons wear slims, and two wear regular size pants. By getting adjusting pants, they can all wear hand-me-downs. That said, these pants do not have any adjustable straps.I do like that inside the pants is a strong elastic band. I guess that is designed to help keep the pants up while dancing, or maybe to keep the shirt tucked in – I’m not sure. I know I got the wrong size, so I’ll have to order a smaller size for my young dancer. I love the satin ribbon down the leg, but I wonder if it will even show up when he’s on stage.These pants are not slims! If you have a slender child, plan to hire a seamstress to make them fit.

These dance pants are nicer than other costume pants we have had in the past. I found the fabric to be softer to the touch, the edging lines up pretty well, and the stitching is clean. My photos make them appear more gray, but they are in fact a matte black with a shiny satin-like trim down both outer seams, around the waistband, and across the upper backside. I really like the satin-type trim, it really gives these pants clean looking lines and a subtle flair. The inside waist band is a wide piece of black elastic that is tacked to the inside of the pants in a few places, and is then secured in the front with two plastic button snaps. I imagine if you needed to make a quick adjustment of the waist this is how you might do it with only buttoning one button tighter or looser. I’m very pleased with the quality and appearance of these pants, and hope that my little dancer will be too.
